Being a Swedish boat here, well we are the only one. Being European, well we are probably 3 or 4 Being North Americans, majority, probably 6-7 Then comes 2 South Americans and one South African. We have seen this code before but as the americans are the networking specialists we have adapted. It is called a boat card. Instead of business card. The boat card is something you give away when you meet a new boat. Yesterday I made our own and printed on our little Canon 100 printer. So now we are in... Today Rich and I went ashore with jerry cans to fill diesel, 125 litres for us and 125 litres for them (Legacy). You take empty cans to a gas station that is known to have new tanks (good odds that the fuel is clean), then you fill them up and get a ride on a pick up back to where you left the dinghy. Load the dinghy and take it to the boat, in our case we filled up our upper tank so we are better off our in the islands. It is veruy hot and the wind has gone down so if we would have had the rig ready to go we would have gone. But no problems we will make the best out of this wonderful place! |
