Lots of wind activity going on now

Last night the wind speed picked up and as we are not used to any wind at all in this bay it felt stronger than it actually is. Gusts up to 20-25 knots. But that is still so far from what the poor people in Vanuatu must be experiencing. A country where the economy is poor, about a dollar a day per person... they do not need this as well. They have now a windspeed of about 175knots, and most do not think about that windspeed is not linear, it is an exponential figure. Pam is the name of the hurricane is now a category 5, the highest and most devastating power. We have now 4 Hurricanes moving about in the Southern Hemisphere, something very unusual. If you want to learn more about why it happens We are doing fine, Ellinor is away doing Yoga and the kids just came up so I have to organize some breakfast.  |
