I guess NZ is first moving into the new year, we already celebrated last night. But I guess the advantage is the same as when you are seated in the front row on a plane. It does not matter when you get to the destination.

Looking back at 2013 I think it is the most adventurous year in my life. Last night we looked at a film about soldiers coming home from Vietnam protesting against the lunatic war that the US was driving there (The unfinished Symphony... by Bestor Cram). That reminded me that I have had a life so far that has not been spoiled by any crazy events like wars or famines etc. How privileged can I be? Then we have been able to do our journey and I complain sometimes. How stupid can I be? My promise for next year is to try to remember how privileged we are...(I am)
