40 Nm from Messina Strait this volcanic little island is situated.
Arrived a bit early. The "show" is supposed to be enjoyed in the night.
We where expecting outbursts and glowing lava streams.
While waiting for night to come we enjoyed a glass of Prosecco and had dinner.
There was no action at all. Very disappointing. Been there, done that!
After midnight we decided to continue toward Trapani.
This is our fourth night at sea since we left Bari.

This is what we came for. Found those pictures on internet.
Anyway we think Etna is a far more exciting experience when it comes to volcanic activity and beauty.
But then you have to leave your yacht of course.
