A GOOD DAY!
We are getting more and more used to Sans Peur, the river culture, the art of locking and mooring.
So far 11 locks, 8 stops in different marinas and been on our way for 15 days (feels much longer). No transpiration anymore when approaching whatever.
Sans Peur behaves well and we are cruising along at 6,5 knots (1600 rpm).
Days are getting shorter, a bit cooler in the mornings but so far we been lucky with the weather. Sun most of the time.
From river Maas in the Netherlands into Belgium and Alberttkanaal.
Sluizen Lanaye, the biggest so far. 9,5 m “chute”.
This is the region in Belgium where they speak French (and only French). You address in English / trying German and the answer is in French, of course.
But the signals and signs on the canals are the same. Thank god!
