Istanbul is huge, 14 million people.
We spent a lot of time just travelling on Dolmus (small local buses), Metro Bus (like Metro on wheels) and Trams.
Turks are really polite and helpful. Always.
Took us some time to sort out our problem with non function anchor winch due to broken circuit breaker.
Nurhan, owner of an Hallberg Rassy Rasmus, helped us out. Took us the major part of a day just to find this missing single part.
Thank you! You really mad our day.
Good to no you have just the best anchor winch, but when it doesn't work ...
And now we start to realise you need this urgently basically everyday to be able to moor The Med style.
Again we have to start to learn ...
The Meltemi; This wind which seems to be almost a part of the soul of this region you also have to learn to deal with.
We love the cooling breeze and the nice strong sailing wind but ... but plus 35 knots it starts to a bit tricky ... especially when
reaching port.
This strong wind is blowing 24 hours up to 6 days.
Salt water and Meltemi and still mosquitos around?!
