Our mud crab was a fast starter but then the energy totally disappeared. And he decided to take a siesta.
7 crab where participating in the race.
Our crab covered the longest distance by far. First crab out of Australia will win. Our crab took aim for Melbourne but got exhausted
and disappeared in outback. He should have chosen a shorter way.
Here he comes, Sans Peur, full speed ... then it turned into slow motion and in the end it was dead stop.
The start of the race. We where very exited!!! People where very thrilled. A lot of cheering.
The whole thing started with an auction. A lot of sailing crews but only 7 crabs available today.
I, Fred, managed to get the last one for 40 AUD.
