STOP 7 - “Stimmung" at the famous Hofbräuhaus München

Hofbräuhaus was founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria, Wilhelm V. It is one of Munich's oldest beer halls. Originally founded as the brewery to the old Royal Residence.

The beer quickly became popular thanks to the first brewer, Heimeran Pongratz, and the famous "Bavarian Beer Purity Law" of 1516 that stated that only natural ingredients could be used in the brewing process

A liter of Helles lager. What an enjoyable moment. So good.

There are many types of beer brewed using original recipes.

The current beers produced includes a wheat beer and Helles lagers (our favourite) ….

Our “Stammtisch”.

The Hofbräuhaus in Munich inspired the song "oans, zwoa, g'suffa” (Bavarian dilect for: "one, two, down the hatch").

Kalte Platte (Brotzeteller), Apfelstrudel, Hofbräu Original Beer (plenty), Obstler Linster (Schnaps), Williamsbirne (Schnaps from pear) ...

Means: "Thirst is whorse then home sickness"
