We sailed (truth is “motored”) around the bottom of Phuket this afternoon  (only about 17 nm distance from where we were) and are now anchored at Patong Beach….the center of all action on Phuket.  We came over to join long term sailing friends  (Peter and Evelyn) S/V Renegade and (Frank and Karen) S/V Kokomo V for the New Year’s Eve experience here tomorrow evening. Word is that it will be great……Peter was very convincing when he came by Sea Mist this morning to twist our arm to make the “long” passage….and it wasn’t a big struggle for him to win the argument…so the 3 boats weighed anchor on the east side of Ao Chalong and made their way over here.

We wanted to wish all of our blog readers…..friends and family….a terrific 2015 as we bring in the New Year.
