Arrived St Maartens at 13:30 after averaging 8.5 knots on the 75 NM from Barbuda…a really great sail (highest recorded speed (SOG) enroute was 13.7 kts): set the sails (wing on wing) as we passed through the coastal reef leaving Barbuda and never touched the trim again til within the last half hour out of Simpson Bay, St Maarten…..now THAT”S performance!  Wind direction was steady at 95 -105 M with strength varying from 15 to 25 kts True Wind Speed….12 -17 kts apparent at 160 degrees off the starboard bow. Seas were mostly 1.5 – 2 meters with a few hours at 3-4 meters.

Lots to get done here over next few days beginning first thing in the morning.  Just finished an “all you can eat” ribs evening at a local pub/restaurant…now bedtime.
