Phenom Penh

We decided to take a bus to Phenom Penh from Siem Reap so we could see some of the countryside.  I took these photos from the bus so they are far away and sometimes slanted.  It gave us a better idea of how the homes could go from a shack to next door a gated home, with a little shack in their front yard.

They all seemed to use these outdoor stoves and ovens.  Every home and small village had one.

Kids doing what kids do.

Lots of baskets in the small markets, used for rice, fishing, holding spices, and souvenirs for the tourists.

So as you can see you have a well tended home with no animals living underneath as they tend to smell and stinky smells rise...

To little shacks with just enough room for, well I’m not really sure.

Big little, it would be nice to find out what the people do for a living in the larger homes vs. the small shacks.

Again we saw a lot of hay piled on a structure to keep it dry.

This home although tilted was built from the ground up, not on stilts.

Our arrival in Phenom Penh.  We got settled into our hotel and then went off in search of a restaurant for dinner.
