Photos Mausambi School
Mausambi School We were invited to meet the students at the English School, what a treat, we always love meeting the children. The kids would introduce themselves; give their nickname and the village they came from. They were waiting to do the next song for us, very serious little faces thinking of the English words to the next song. Look at the size of this little guy’s eyes. This is a well maintained school. They provided refreshments for us after their presentation; this is when you get the great photos of the kids, horsing around. They don’t mess about with knives when you can use your handy dandy machete. They don’t cook the pork the way we do, very very pink and bloody. We noticed in Vanuatu the locals cooked their chickens slightly so there was blood and pink meat. This guy was in the background behind the table wearing a beard and sunglasses which is okay, but he never moved a muscle, stayed in the same position, the kids loved him! The villagers all stood around us – watching us eat and drink, talking amongst themselves, we drank all the Bintang, again! We really enjoyed our stay at Mausambi thanks to Vincent and the villagers. |
