Photos - Orangutans of Borneo - Part 4
Our final story of March the Mom and Mario, the juvenile. They were very interested in our boat or the food and drinks on our boat. Mario studied us for a long time whilst Mom hung out in the background. We fed them some pineapple, their hands feel like soft Italian leather. Mario checking out our boat and how to get onboard. He made a number of attempts to get onboard but just couldn’t quite make it. Mom decided to show him how it was done. She managed to get a bottle of sweet soy sauce off our table and a can of beer from the other boat, not a bad haul but now Junior wants to share in the booty and Mom is not interested in sharing so Junior tries the kisses, it worked she shared the bottle with him. They did find the soy sauce very intense so she dipped it in the water to make it a little easier to drink. March climbing on the klotok. You’re the best Mom...My Turn, my turn! Man she just won’t share with me ###**. We thoroughly enjoyed our experiences with the Orangutans and other animals of Tanjung Puting National Park. We have read about the Orangutans but didn’t know anything about them and we feel very privileged to be able to spend time with them and get to understand them a little bit better. This is another one of our experiences that we will never forget, we are so lucky to be able to see all of the countries we have seen and enjoy the people of the different countries, right now we can’t say enough about the friendly people of Indonesia.
