New hip..etc
update from my hospital bed>>>all is good! my surgeon and anesthesiologist were both by for a chat earlier and are both happy with what they did last evening.....and pleasantly surprised by my post op condition. I didn't use the self administered morphine at all since getting back to mt room around 10pm...NO PAIN!!!...they have taken blood to check hemoglobin level....and they have given me a blood thinner injection to complement the lower leg pumping. sleeves that are working pressure apply/release to guard against DVT ( deep vein thrombosis clots)
surprise...food is good...medical staff are all superbI do have my iPad with me....and the hospital provides free wifi...so I am CONNECTEDAlso, by way of update since last posting...last Friday, I worked it out with the marina to be able to stay as long as I. need to..and yesterday early morn, Cheryl and I went to the immigration offices and got a one month extension added to our 14 day Singapore visas,...so all is good on those possible limitations. also, Marian of S/V kilkea has a cousin who has an appartment in SG for occasions through the year when he is here on business...and they leave SG on friday so the apartment will he empty...IF...iI can't get back on sea mist when I am discharged...so they have very generously offered the apartment if i need it,,,since it will be vacant...reason being, I may have to,be on crutches for a couple of weeks due to the size of the implant being larger than anticipated...BIG BONES!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it......later whenever...ciao, the Seamisters
