Final 24 hours counting down >>
29 52 N 064 23 W All is well on-board as we still expect
arrival in St Georges early tomorrow morning. Now in company of a couple of
other sailboats; Saliander (a New Zealand couple) whom we met in Ghania, Crete
in March of 08 and have crossed paths a couple of other times since….and
Sled, someone we don’t know…owner is on-board but will fly out of Bermuda
while the Captain and 2 crew deliver the boat to the USA. Over the last few
hours we have had contact amongst us by radio. Saw one other cargo ship during
the night…headed for The wind came around behind us during the
night so had to change the sail plan to put up the spinnaker pole for a poled
out head sail….been wing-on-wing for last 12 hours…which creates
more rolling with the stronger seas coming from behind….but a far easier
experience than any part of the Atlantic Crossing in December. DTG to St Georges: 150 nm |
