Anchored in Stamford, CT at end of day, Sunday after an absolutely gorgeous day coming down Long Island Sound from Newport, RI…..only disappointment > motored all the way as there was no wind…just blue sky sunshine beaming down.

Looks like plans have to change as far as our location base for the New York area; when I checked with Liberty Landing Marina to book a mooring for the week, I was greated with the “price tag shock” of $180 per night if we took the 7 day rate …or 40% HIGHER if we went day by day.  Needless-to-say, we will find an alternative… even if it means remaining at anchor in Stamford and managing our intended wanderings by car rental.
