We advanced 68 nm westwards today and have dropped anchor here just for an overnight stop; nothing attractive here to keep us. Expect to go a similar distance tomorrow and hopefully the intended destination proves to be an attractive place to stop for a couple of days.

It was a very hot day so good to get in for a swim when we stopped to cool down....but really nothing to see underwater...mostly all dead coral with the odd healthy younger entry to the reef standing alone. Only problem in these last couple of locations is some sort of water borne creature that you can't see that bites you....and, for me, BAD....as I get these bad welts (now probably 40 or so bites) that take about a week to go through their itchy cycle before they heal and disappear. Cheryl feels the biting but she does not get the reaction; guess I will have to pull out my stinger suit that I got back in Oz....and never used. It is an extremely thin, full body, suit that is made of nylon and is just a bit heavier than old fashioned women's nylon stockings; these stinger suits are used extensively in Australia to guard against very dangerous jelly fish.

Later....ciao/the Seamisters
