Tranquil Morning

I wanted to get some photos of the bay we were staying at, the island is called Awai.   It was so quiet, just the birds singing in the trees not a breath of air, and the water was so still it looked like a painting.

                                               Believe it or not there is a reef at the very edge, where it looks like the eternity pool.

Lights, Action, Camera...

The sun was just peeking over the top of the hills

And all of a sudden everything started to change, I could hear the boom of the waves as they hit the reef but it took a minute for me to recognize that sound and realize where once the reef looked like an eternity pool, now had a line of rolling water.  The tranquil water was moving in different directions, dependent upon the currents, the dogs started barking, the roosters were crowing, you could see and hear the land around you waking up.

The eternity pool is gone the waves hitting the reef sound like distant thunder in a summer storm

A father and his son popped out of the woods, got in their dugout and rowed to the other side of the bay to dig up sand and put the sand in large heavy duty plastic bags, for what use?                                            

Time for a coffee!
