Gulf Stream is relatively wide for our arrival and transit….about 75 nm across; We hit the western boundary around 11 am and now at 4:30 pm we are about half way across. Should be exiting the Eastern Boundary by 11 pm. It was very turbulent with nasty confused seas on the Western boundary for a few hours….then settled down.

Water temperature in the stream is 82 F   28 C ; now that is a quick way to leave fall/winter behind!

Have only been able to get 10 hours of sailing in so far so have used up 20 % of our fuel….can’t keep that up….hoping to see sailable winds in coming days….hopefully not too nasty on the seas dimension.
