Had a very rainy start to our trip to Figuera da Foz, full oilskins required-had forgotten what rain felt like! Feet very wet and wrinkled as having to wear crocs.
A good sail and arrived in good time to have beer and tapas in the old Santa Caterina Fort. It’s thought that the foundations date back to the reign of King John (1385-1433).

Health and Safety is not an issue here, nothing to prevent falls from the turrets. A very modern moat surrounds it and  in the distance, the ubiquitous ferris wheel!
Another modern resort but some nice touches. There was an interesting tiled monument on the front and attractive tiled facades to some of the houses.

Had initially expected to spend a couple of nights. The marina was old and rather run down so decided to crack on.
