Coffee machine now functioning so no 12 minute drive to closest coffee shop. Huge relief as A doesn’t function without caffeine.
Came aboard today and wanted to charge the Dyson battery first thing. Switched on the power and inverter but nothing. Only the sockets was affected. A lot of head scratching, checking of the wiring and a walk to the office and back. F realised it was a dodgy European To UK adapter( French boat so French sockets) Phew. The wiring is rather complicated!
The ship’s clock too, now works after a minor hiccup. Had taken it home to fix with a new movement kit. Worked perfectly. Only problem was three missing screws. Everything else was bagged and tagged by A (they are probably on the kitchen table, at home Ed.) It took an engineer to fix it with blue tack. Liable to fall out in rough seas, methinks. A more permanent remedy isn’t as urgent as the installation of the electronics!
