Apple maps have now recognised our commute and the first destination listed is now “work”. They’re not wrong!
Glorious sunshine and 20 degrees. Who turned the switch? Spring is definitely here. The daffodils are flowering and blossom is appearing.
Wearing a short sleeved t -shirt for first time.
8 bent stanchions eventually replaced in total, plus 1 new gate, all of which we had to bring out from the UK. Temporarily reinstalled the old guard wire, as she’s very high off the ground but this will be replaced with dyneema. She’s beginning to look more like a boat rather than a wreck!
Talk about a comedy of errors. F says we’re in the boat graveyard- not quite but at the furthest end, without wifi, power or water. Spot chosen for messy soda blasting. As this is not happening anytime soon, we insisted on power and water. A sump pump was dropped into a well, an extension lead led under the door of closest paint shed and we thought we had services. A itching to get the dried mud off the decks as it’s being tramped in everywhere. Attached hose - nothing.
Nobody works on a Saturday, not even security. Would have thought that’s when they should definitely be on. So lifted the lid off the well, the tap on the pump was closed. Tried again, surprise, surprise, a dribble. Cleaned a third of the decks- it’s going to take some time.
