We now have a new suit of sails. We’ve changed the massive Genoa to a high cut Yankee - basically means we can see under it more easily when sailing and a lot less grunt when winding it in. To compensate we now sail as a cutter by adding a second fixed furled staysail. A much smaller sail used together with the Yankee or alone in heavy weather.
Had quick trip to the grocery store for lunch items. Even the imported American strawberries are supersized!
The much neglected outboard was checked over and put on the dinghy. Lifting it hasn’t got any easier. Amazingly it worked and F had a quick spin round the bay (blue overalls are now the go-to sailing gear Ed. )
Had supper on the boat for the first time. Lovely evening and allowed us to carry on working later.
