Enjoyed the Parade of Lights, a little disconcerting that a number of the fishing boats were moving launch platforms for some fireworks. Like mini-cruisers going into battle. Glad we stayed on board to watch, with all our vulnerable canvas - stood by with a bucket of water just in case! The town display, from the park opposite, was an impressive spectacle.
Staying a week allowed F to recover somewhat from his cold. Aaaah!! At least he didn’t share it around.
Sorry to leave Shelburne this morning - a delightful town and wonderful people. It has become an attractive place to move to, not least because real estate is cheap, compared to other provinces in Canada. Saw the appeal of waterside properties as we were leaving the harbour. Sadly other nationalities are buying them up!

The coast line is low lying and tree covered - a stark contrast to the cliffs of Devon and Cornwall
Had to motor to the mouth of the harbour then a gentle sail to Lockeport. A great view across the harbour from our ”marina berth”/ rickety pontoon!

Got the bikes out for the first time since The Canaries - they still work. Had to ditch the original batteries (dead) and replace them with Bosch power tool ones. Half the size and a fraction of the weight. Had time for a quick explore round this sleepy town and to restock some basics.
A few spots of rain now after a week of superb weather. Shame.
