Have had a number of amusing incidents recently regarding language. A talking to the Commodore about the pontoons( flat bottomed boats in Canada) realised he hadn’t a clue as should have said docks!
Similarly, asked for Postit stickers, fair play should have said Postit Notes but was offered every type of sticker, until a younger assistant twigged and said sticky notes.
A lot of whipper snapping going on here-i.e. strimming, leads onto the motel wifi being fixed! Yeah! A young lad was helping to do the whipper snapping and managed to whipper snap the wifi cable, could attach to wifi but no onward internet connection. Problem subsequently solved at considerable expense.
A very busy day on Sunday. Anchor rubbed down and undercoated as pretty rusty at the tip, ready for a spray coat of yellow to make it more visible on the seabed. Parts of bottom rubbed down and painted with epoxy. F created a fine piece of art with the residue.

Amazing stuff. Heat from the chemical reaction started to melt plastic beaker before it set. Went shopping while it dried on the hull.
Returned, A ready in full hazmat suit for anti fouling. The instructions were heavier than the suit! One size fits all. XL!

Sadly the epoxy hadn’t dried so bottom painting delayed for another day.
Anther trip up the mast to fit the running back stays which will be essential for supporting the mast when going back into the water. Backstays need to be removed to fit into the hoist. Harness had to be adjusted. F says it’s because he has lost so much weight, yeah right!!(ed TRUE!!)

Staysail halyard also fitted- even higher up the mast. Again too stressful for photo op but job eventually done.
