S & M arrived and without delay, set off for northern section of The Freedom Trail, a marked route taking in most of the historic sights of the city. ![]() The Faneuil Hall was our starting point - market place and meeting hall since 1743. Easily distracted by street performers: Houdini style escapologist and acrobat performing one handed handstand at height surrounded by knives. Lots to entertain in this vibrant area ![]() Next up was Paul Revere’s House, built about 1680, oldest in Boston. Queue too long to go in; we were on a mission with M’s new bionic knees leading the way at a swift pace. ![]() Then Old North Church, 1723, Copp’s Hill Burying Ground, Charlestown Navy Yard and USS Constitution - the oldest commissioned warship afloat which we viewed from afar. |
