Had an early start to meet up with our owner’s representative, who happened to be in the boatyard. He wanted to check out the painting and progress so
far, realised he needed to spend longer with us so arranged and early meeting on Thursday.
F frustrated with the electrics. Decided to check everything “on the bench” (aka saloon table) before installation. The new chart plotter fails to start-up. Battery voltage OK, long key presses with multiple Houdini fingers/buttons to start up in factory settings mode…. nothing. Repacked it ready for return to supplier when F donned a pair of ear defenders and plugged in the new electric fog-horn to test stability of 12v supply. Not a toot. Dodgey 12v socket (now in the bin). Glad we didn’t go back to the shop, that would have been embarrassing!
Decided to escape for the night. Had a bed and balcony overlooking the bay.

Birthday Prosecco and seafood crepes were delicious.
