Returned, after a strong coffee, via pretty Mahone Bay Town and the three iconic churches- usually photographed from the water. The multi coloured Adirondack chairs are hugely popular everywhere.
The buildings too are multicoloured and hostas seem to thrive particularly well. No slugs?
Continued round the coast to Lunenburg, a delightful town which we will visit by boat. The Old Town is a cultural UNESCO World Heritage site, one of only 8 in Canada. It sits on a steep hillside overlooking the harbour. Had steep climb down to the pretty waterfront and back up! Will investigate more when we return. Hope to do a guided walking tour if we feel fit!
Flat bottomed dories are popular here too.
