No, we are not doing a Donald Crowhurst!! There is a big storm, way north of the Canaries, which has no effect on the islands, wind wise, but will send huge seas this way. We don't want a repeat of the zero wind and big seas combination, which we had at the beginning of our trip to Cape Verde last November. Even Saga Cruises have diverted their Caribbean bound ship from The Azores to Madeira, to avoid any Zimmer frame, whiplash claims.
A few days in the delightful village of Las Galettas and off on Saturday or Sunday.
