First stop this morning was the Chinese emporium to buy last minute rollers, a pole and tape. A vowed she’d never do the antifoaming again but there was only 1 tin to eke out and we knew the boatyard wouldn’t manage to do that. So had to buy cheap pair of “crcs” as couldn’t bear the thought of wellies.
A good advert for 3M!
The shop has everything imaginable, but all tat. Hate to think what effect it’s had on the rest of the shops.
The gods were with us. It was a cool calm overcast day with one light shower over lunch, perfect for the job. Dressed in hazmat suit and marigolds, A set to on the rudder and stern. F had a pole and roller. Raided the recycling bin for large sheets of cardboard to lie on under the boat.
When it came to the keel, realised still a lot of barnacles in the keel box so A began clearing it, resulted in an unwanted facial scrub.
All finished by 4 so F informed boatyard that ready to launch.
Set for 8:15 tomorrow! Oh dear.
