So glad we’re at anchor,the marina looks a depressing place but the complex has very high end shops and prices. Visited the best chandlery we’ve seen for months/ years, albeit small. Had a light lunch at a nearby cafe on the recommendations of the chandler's owner. What a surprise going ashore, lovely buildings, streets, tiled pavements and facades.

Visited The Citadel, the perfect backdrop to the marina, a set of fortifications built between the 15th and 17th centuries to defend the coastline and River Tagus estuary.

The Santo Antonio do Cascais tower is a sister tower to Belem in Lisbon.

The square inside is home to a hotel, arts centre, restaurant and events venue
