Halifax has a very busy boardwalk and waterfront with a myriad of stalls, shops, cafés, businesses including the fascinating glassworks which had an open front. Only health and safety gear appeared to be the safety specs.

There’s a regular ferry going across to Dartmouth on the other side of the harbour, as well as a quasi paddle steamer events boat.

Left the hustle and bustle of the city behind on Friday and slowly made our way to Rogue’s Roost, navigating tight passages between rocks. It was helpful that it was low water as we approached, as many were visible. Regarded as being the one of the most beautiful anchorage in Nova Scotia.It certainly lived up to its reputation.

Awoke to a flat calm and the only sound was birdsong. Amazing reflections in the water.

Now enjoying a gentle sail under the new/old cruising chute to Lunenburg to show C the sights and do what we didn’t manage before. Glorious sunshine, light winds, flat seas, making 5- 6 knots.
