The bugs are out. We had been warned about black flies but never experienced them. Suspect it was too windy in North Sydney. However, boat now close to vegetation and a lot of clearing of trees is happening. Bugs love A!
Owner’s representative returned to write the “snagging list”. All arrived on board to find the cockpit and autohelm compartment flooded again. They’d kindly started to hose the cockpit down but discovered that the boat was tilting forward. For second time in a week had to bail out cockpit and autohelm. We are not amused!

F ‘s job today - precision drilling and tapping to fit the new mast step. The new mast has a different profile (of course) so the old step came off and new one fitted. The old holes didn’t match the new, ( of course) How silly to think they would.

The new one on the left is machined from a solid plate and superior to previous one of cast alloy. A was on hand with the Dyson, vacuuming all the aluminium shavings. She knows her place!

The finished job.
A hard day, went food shopping, then for a beer and spotted the pizzeria next door. Decided to treat ourselves. Never seen long rectangular pizzas before. Supper was easy.
