A successful day

A cold day, so what better than run the heating. It had to run on high for 10 minutes to burn off all accumulated carbon and to ensure it starts next time round. Within 30 minutes the cabin temperature went up from 8 to 14 degrees. Positively balmy. Reassuring considering the huge fluctuations in temperature here.
Fitted the navpod( instruments later)compass and the wheel( important for launching!)
Started the engine, requiring 3 large trugfuls of water pumped from the well, plus a long tube to symphon from trugs into engine pump. A satisfying job watching all the pink antifreeze being pumped out.
Checked, lubricated and exercised all the seacocks prior to launching.
A real “guddle” down below, so tidied up ready for being moved.
