Jolly Harbour is a short sail round to the W of the island and a million miles away from the parallel universe of the super rich. Jolly, is the main harbour on Antigua for "normal" people and not a Superyacht berth in site. The harbour is lined with pretty wooden houses each with their own "dock" for a small boat. It also has an Epicurean Supermarket which we overheard someone referring to as Waitrose (a good description since much of the stuff on the shelves is branded Waitrose Essentials).
We could have anchored in crystal clear waters, just outside the harbour, but it is a long dinghy ride in, the marina is nice, but expensive, so we have opted for a buoy and my DIY WiFi system can access the world from here.
Just discovered that our favourite reggae band "The Survivors" are playing at the Crows Nest restaurant on Friday night. So we booked a table.
