Victoria Day and a Bank Holiday, but miserable, grey and cold with rain forecast for most of the day. Arrived late at the boat and F fitted 5 jubilee clips, after drilling a small hole at the end of each stress crack. The hole relieves the stress and stops the crack spreading, the jubilee clips add strength to the weakened spar (or so F says???). It ~~should~~ will(ed) survive until we source a replacement. Work done for the day!

Even more bird droppings in evidence. It’s only going to get worse. Too cold and miserable to get stuck into anything, so drove to Sydney for lunch. Note to self, do not order anything with bread again. It is very sweet and isn’t suited to savoury sandwiches or to pair with fish chowder. Missing F’s sourdough.
