A bit of luck yesterday. Heard that regular long stay visitors can get a Nova Scotian Photo ID which would solve lots of irritating problems, including allowing us access to a greater choice of phone and data contracts. So taxi booked and off we went to the government office. First question to F -are you on the system already? No sir. But then our man consulted his computer and said yes, I’m afraid you are but I can’t see why. Ahhh… could that be a Speeding Fine in 2019?. Lots of emails and faxes later he was declared criminal record free. Mug shots taken and forms filled in, and we are now awaiting photo ID.
Sunset over Bridgewater through my bunk window.

Had to move this morning to full length fuel berth as owner of previous one may be arriving over the weekend.
View not so good, rather public, may have to keep curtain closed.

Concerned about yellow slick in the river, wondering what toxic substances causing it. Ducks were happy enough to swim through it, leaving yellow trail behind them. Realised a lot of yellow dust on the boat - pollen, of course. All surfaces covered in fine coating and our clothes if we touch it.

Where is …? I can’t find….These are the most frequent utterances at the moment. Have made copious lists of where things are but still flummoxed when it comes to it and so frustrating.
All the outboard controls had completely seized up, so another strip-down, grease and reassemble job. Grease gun eventually found - under a bunk (not previously on a list but now on list no. 32b). Outboard now works a treat.
