Cracking on with various jobs, others being added to the list. Solar panels reconnected and now functioning. Name back on both sides of the boom, easier to identify us as initially name only on the stern.
Had a surprisingly fine shower while washing up, the galley tap had rusted from the inside out and a pin prick sized hole appeared. Now elegantly taped with self amalgamating and insulating tape. Another job added to the list.
Taps are an issue this year. The new $200 one, incorporating a hose and shower head fitted at the boatyard (the old one had rusted), was too tall to turn on except on hot and only produced a dribble.
The man who fitted it thought we’d get 80% of the flow. Not a chance. He’d thought of cutting a notch out of the cupboard! Again not a chance!
F’s solution for the moment - a hacksaw and dremell drill job. Not pretty but it now works. This is what we’ve been up against.
Still trying to solve “software” issue. Even the very helpful man in the UK who had supplied us with a spare MDI engine control box was flummoxed (“ohh…. Never heard of that one. There is no software in that box. So, no idea where in the system that message could have originated”)
