The club is trying to expand its activities and is now home to a couple of dragon boats. Arrived in time to see them set off to the beat of the drum - a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.

The wrap man arrived. Looked as though a hurricane had come through- a very systematic removal and all bagged up for recycling.

Paintwork has not fared well. Paint on aluminium never the best but more is flaking off.
Cleaning now begins in earnest. A with the deck brush and sponge. Decks have never been so filthy. F with acetone to remove tape glue, of which there is lots. Will take some time.
Lots of activity at the club today, hosting the annual Poker Run. Chance rather than speed determines the winner. 5 stops on the route, each boat collects a sealed envelope and in the evening the hands are revealed. Prizes substantial. A lot of eating and drinking at each stop.
Delicious home cooked steak for us at the Rear Commodore’s and lots of sailing talk.
