Lumpy seas

A very wet morning, checked out of marina then walked to old port to check out with immigration. Had a last coffee waiting for the rain to ease.
Left Ponta Delgado for the island of Terceira at about 1:30 via the fuel pontoon- very lucky, first there, but by the time we left, boats were queuing up. Set off in confused lumpy seas and variable winds. A very rolly 91 miles, unexpected and despite the Superpep chewing gum A was out for the count.F was in effect single-handed virtually all the way, some sailing, some motoring. Arrived about 7:30 in mist and drizzle, visibility down to a few hundred metres.
The highlight on the way was a full rainbow unable to capture from the cockpit but pretty stunning.
The Starlink installation worked well and was put to the test with all the rolling. (Ed. Normally they are mounted on a pole at the back of the boat, but this is the more delicate Starlink Mini and the supplied clamp is very flimsy also, I doubt the antenna would survive a salt water wave strike. A fellow Ovni owner’s solution was borrowed and improved upon. It works well).
