Trip to Four Jays , the local tool hire agent. F’s new bestie, Jimmy, is one of the four. He’s given invaluable advice on how to cut holes in the new Navpod ( box which holds new chart plotter and autopilot control) which will be mounted at the the wheel. Needed to rent a roto-zip, what’s that? F asked - a router! Have one of those in the garage at home! Duly rented, after painstaking measuring, checking and rechecking, did the job. A drafted in to hold the Navpod, a router table would have been better, like the one at home in the garage! Get the drift.
A little filing afterwards and it’s good to go.
Back at Home Hardware and in anticipation of all the cleaning and polishing bought 10lb recycled rags.
Already used all our old t shirts. F thinks it’s an overkill. A not so sure……
In anticipation of removing all sticky residue from masking tape and double sided tape used for precision measuring and drilling of Navpod, invested in Canada’s equivalent of Sticky Stuff Remover. Catchy name.
