Pouring with rain, blowing a gale and cold today. Canada has been very dry this year, today making up for it. The shed is no longer heated.
Returned roto-zip. F had long chat with new bestie, full of suggestions for sourcing various items. Sadly, The Binnacle, the only chandler’s around, is 40 mins away in Halifax, can’t exactly pop in and out.
A degreased throttle mechanism ready for regreasing.
F busy widening and tapping inserts for radar screws. Installed new insulating inserts (beautifully turned on a lathe Ed. ) into stanchion bases. Decided to wait until boat is outside before installing new stanchions and gate which we brought out with us.
Started feeding new cable for radar/ plotter through- got as far as lazarette then called it a day (there’s a special place in hell for the designers of cable runs). Boat may be moved outside tomorrow afternoon. Here’s hoping…
