No laundry facilities at Yacht Club, so taxi to drop off at a laundromat. Walked on to downtown Halifax and spotted that the Fringe and Tattoo had just started.
Plans for taking the ferry across to Dartmouth put on hold, as we booked 2 shows for the afternoon, an unexpected bonus.
Had time to walk round the Public Gardens, one of the finest surviving examples of Victorian gardens in North America.
Impressed with Halifax. So many green spaces and very manageable for walking and exploring. Had a picnic lunch in the Grand Parade, in front of Halifax City Hall, one of the largest and oldest (1890s)public buildings in NS.

Noticed The Town Clock (1803), missed on our first visit. We had even walked past it!

The first show was Life on Flat Earth, a dark, conspiracy theory based, comedy and the second, at The Neptune Theatre, the main theatre in Halifax, The Other Mozart- charming, funny and moving. Another show this afternoon so will go to Dartmouth beforehand.
