An early trip to the boat yard to discuss the bill followed, by a quick trip to the bank 40 minutes away in Lunenburg. All bills have to be paid before they’ll put you in the water. Had to get a good old fashioned cashiers cheque as paying into a different bank.
Everything on track for an afternoon launch. Nerves all round considering last year.
The hoist used 4 straps so boat looked more secure, but uneven surface meant there was a bit of a swing while she was on the move.
Lowered into the dock, F and A allowed on when deck at ground level. So far so good. Beginning to feel relieved. Once lowered into the water checked all the sea cocks and bilges for leaks. Breathed a sigh of relief- nothing. Ready to go. Reverse gear selected and a bit of throttle then no movement. She got caught on the straps. Several nerve racking minutes of trying to free her, then finally came loose and off to a berth for the next few days.
Phew! A celebratory beer was in order.
