Why does everything take so long?

Yesterday we fitted our brand new radar dome. The base had to be stuck onto the arch first with sealant /glue before the dome was screwed on. Not particularly heavy, but awkward at such a height.

We were on a roll, so we thought. Next job was the wind generator. Sealed and fastened the base to the arch. F tidied up the cables coming through the base, neatly taping them together at intervals. F had worked out a way of using a pulley attached to the top of the ladder to hoist the heavy body of the wind generator high enough to wire it up and place onto the base.
Completed all but placing it onto the base. F had done such a good job with the insulating tape that the cables were not flexible enough to be pushed down the base. So before the glue set it all had to be removed to start afresh today.

For various reasons it took the whole day. At least it was sunny and warm.
Now have a functioning wind generator and radar.
