Back in Lunenburg
Our gentle sail on Saturday was suddenly disturbed by a rib bearing down on us at high speed. Boarder Security. F took off his hat, so they could see he wasn’t a terrorist! Or perhaps he was just doffing it! They had a good look at us, circled the boat then zoomed off. Didn’t even call us up on the radio.
Arrived in time for Saturday Music on the Wharf. Not exactly to our taste but a slight Celtic flavour.
Sunday was cloudy, still and muggy. Decided to get some exercise walking along the Back Harbour Trail. Big mistake! Got bitten to death by mozzies they’re big here. We had been warned.
Back on the boat and enjoying lunch in glorious sunshine on deck when who should appear? Border Security. This time they stopped for a chat and asked for confirmation of our clearing-in details before moving on to the next boat. Why do they make us nervous?
A Cultural Celebration was taking place on the wharf. A number of bands from US and Canada were playing. Listened to foot stomping music from a Cajun family band from Louisiana. Mum was energetically playing the accordion and very much the matriarch.
Ordered lobsters to be cooked and collected later in the afternoon. As good as a Sunday Roast!
