Set about fixing the holding tank leak. Can only be done where there are good facilities in case of failure! The marina here has good showers, washing machines and ,most importantly, wifi, (sadly not available for public use in most places today).
A joint effort. It took almost an hour for F to prise the inspection plate off, held on with very tenacious 3M sealant/glue, particularly hated by boatyards as it is soooo difficult to remove A scraped the old sealant off both plate and tank, then it was put back on with different 3M sealant which is less tenacious but just as costly. Here’s hoping… (Ed. We are the S H 1 T team)
Discovered, while doing that, yet another leak - this time oil from the windlass (another seal dried out from lack of use) One job ticked off, another added. Story of our lives at the mo.
