Left Chapel Island on Saturday morning- a flat calm under engine.
Skipper’s instructions”leave the birds to port!” Hope pic shows just how far out the spit stretches. Standing room only for the birds.

The wind picked up slightly so sailed/drifted very slowly across West Bay enjoying the peace and solitude.

Becalmed, engine on to make the few miles to Marble Mountain, clearly seen as the scar on the hillside on our approach.

Water very clear and unpolluted. Bras D’Or Lakes are a UNESCO Biosphere with strict rules and regulations, the jelly fish are certainly thriving.

Quick lunch, then ashore for a long overdue walk.
