Another fine day yesterday and mainsail removed with little effort. The new cars which run up the track on the mast, slid off the mast at the bottom and didn’t need to be removed from the sail. The battens just pulled out of the pockets with no screws to undo. There is one three quarter length batten which we missed first time round, wondering why we couldn’t fold the sail! The last main sail was very labour intensive to take off and bag in comparison. Boat beginning to look rather bare.
Taxi to Gander today to pick up a hire car. Trip to Canadian Tire and Dominion/Atlantic Superstore to restock. All done pretty quickly, shopping in boot and ready to go. Bad news, car keys in boot too and car locked! How could that happen? Accosted a local and begged a lift back to Enterprise, 3 minutes away, who arranged for assistance, man arrived very quickly and we were on our way again. Seemingly very easy to open up and start a car. Not sure how much that is going to cost!
Another glorious day - 21 degrees.
