WEDNESDAY  9th  MARCH  2011

09.00hrs   We had a skippers briefing ashore, this outlined the next leg to Granada which starts at 9pm
tomorrow morning, plus who would the radio control each day and lots more besides.

The " First Mate" did some Skyping, she has really taken control of this facility,
This was followed by some swimming and relaxing around the pool. plus lots of chat.

Later, we , S & A  got the bus down town to Recife Shopping Mall to escape the heat and post the bundle of cards
that have been building up over the last week or so.
We had a pizza lunch in this posh Italian Restaurant before returning to the Marina , paying all the charges
collecting the passports and clearance papers and motoring out to the boat.
We are all excited again about leaving port, and we are pulling out shortly and will spend the nght down river along with
a few other boats,

5.30pm  we untied ourselves from the dock and backed out, turned the boat around and motered off, we were in very shallow water
and obviously the river bed was very soft mud as our dept indicated 00.00 m  , Usually when that happens, we are hard aground,
but in this case, nothing happened, TG............ but we did have 35minutes left in a rising tide.

Down river, we tied alongside " Grand Filou " and spent the night there, lot of chat etc.  Skipper collected Susanna from the
river side docks before lifting the rib up onto the derricks and strapping it down for going to sea,

We ate some of skippers crispy smoked roast " belly pork " before turning in for an early night.

Thats all for now,
